Library Design Process
Although it was clear from
the begining that Monroe needed a new library facility, it has been
quite a journey to get to where we are today. Over the past four
years we have evaluated everything from which site would be the best
for the library to how people use the facility everyday. We have
had countless meetings and conversations with members of the community,
city council members, as well as library officials & employees.
We have gone through many iterations of how the library will
function, the activities that it will house, in addition to how it will
look and feel.
We are proud to show you the New Monroe
Community Library, and hope that you will be as excited as we are once
you learn more about the new library itself as well as the unique
features it contains.
